Karel Nierop has been working at Triodos Investment Management since 2012. As Head of Products & Solutions, he leads the development of new impact investment solutions for clients. He and his team are currently working on two new investment funds focused on Nature-based Solutions. Before his current role, Karel was a fund manager for a private investment fund focused on emerging markets and an investment manager for financial inclusion, with a focus on Asia, at Triodos. He has a background at Rabobank and also worked for several years in Nepal on a sustainable energy project. Karel studied at the Maastricht Hotel Management School and Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
