Annegien
Annegien has been investing for over 30 years and, 20 years ago, began shifting her investment portfolio to increasingly impact investing, including stocks, bonds, and microloan funds. Fifteen years ago, she started actively investing hands-on in innovative tech startups and in the last two years she has made the pivot here as well and decided to only invest in companies that heal, repair and make the world and humankind better on a global scale: in her words “Regentech with Catalytic Impact”. She therefore started the Catalyst Impact Investment Club two years ago.
Annegien is an economist, investor, and archaeologist. The common thread in what she does is “looking for the hidden treasures and making them visible to everyone.” Annegien worked for 10 years in structured finance and at the holdings of large Dutch and Belgian listed companies; she knows the capital market inside out. She has now been an entrepreneur for over 20 years. She has helped corporations, SMEs, and startups with their growth and exits, becoming specialized in identifying tipping points for organizations and guiding boards of directors.
She believes that if we do what we have been doing, we will only continue to destroy the world at an increased rate. We need new models of investing, collaborating, and sharing fairly for a pleasant and just world and society. Collectively, if we start to deploy our capital from purpose, in 5-10 years, we can create a very different world. PYM and its impact-driven investor community can accomplish a great deal in the shift we are collectively making.
