Annegien

Annegien has been investing for over 30 years and started shifting her own investment portfolio towards more and more impact investing in equities, bonds, and microloan funds 20 years ago. Fifteen years ago, she began actively, hands-on investing in innovative tech startups, and in the past two years, she has also made a pivot here, deciding to invest only in companies that heal, repair, and improve the world and humankind on a global scale: in her words, “Regentech with Catalytic Impact.” Two years ago, she therefore started the Catalyst Impact Investment Club.

Annegien is an economist, investor, and archaeologist, and the common thread in what she does is “searching for hidden treasures and making them visible to everyone.” Annegien worked for 10 years in structured finance and at the holding companies of large Dutch and Belgian publicly listed companies; she knows the capital market inside out. She has now been an entrepreneur for over 20 years and has helped corporates, SMEs, and startups with their growth and exits, and has become specialized in organizational tipping points and guiding management teams.

She believes that if we keep doing what we did, we will only continue to destroy the world at an accelerated pace. We need new models of investing, collaborating, and fair sharing for a pleasant and just world and society. Collectively, if we start deploying capital from purpose, we can create a completely different world in 5-10 years. PYM and its impact-driven investor community can achieve a lot in the shift we are collectively making.
