Bas
Bas has been active in the banking sector since the late 1990s. In early 2000, he transitioned to Triodos Bank, where he became sector lead for sustainable energy projects. In this role, he helped expand both the portfolio and the expertise within the sector. He then moved to an energy company, where he was involved in the international business development of biomass projects.
In 2010, Bas co-founded Renewable Factory with two partners, taking on responsibility for all financial matters. Over time, the company's focus shifted from project development to the realization and operation of Energy Hubs, designed to help solve grid congestion and strengthen the strategic independence of the Dutch energy supply.
The intersection of energy and finance has been a consistent thread throughout his career. After creating impact through his company, the next logical step was to make impact through finance, both professionally and personally.
