Bas

Since the late 1990s, Bas has been active in the banking sector. In early 2000, he made the switch to Triodos, where he was responsible for guiding sustainable energy projects as sector manager. In this role, he contributed to building both the portfolio and the knowledge within the sector. He then went on to work at an energy company, where he was involved in the international business development of biomass projects.

In 2010, together with two co-founders, he founded Renewable Factory, where he is responsible for all financial matters. Since then, the company’s focus has shifted from project development to the realization and operation of Energy Hubs. Through this, Renewable Factory contributes to solving grid congestion and strengthening the strategic independence of the Dutch energy supply.

The combination of energy and finance has been a common thread throughout his career. After years of making an impact through his company, the next logical step was to make an impact with his financial resources, both professionally and privately.
