Gijs has a background in corporate finance and chose early in his career to focus on the agribusiness sector. This sector not only plays a role in some of our generation's biggest challenges but is also an essential part of solving them. Since 2015, Gijs has been active as an entrepreneur and founder of Grounded, an initiative that invests in the agribusiness sector in Africa. 

Starting in 2020, with the transition of the family business to the next generation, Gijs will be involved as a director in the transformation of the real estate company into a fully circular real estate developer and investor focused on social housing and healthcare real estate.
