Incofin Climate-Smart Microfinance Fund (ICMF)

Incofin's ICMF Fund's goal is to strengthen resilience, adaptive capacity and transition of populations vulnerable to climate change through the promotion of climate-smart financial inclusion. The Fund will invest in responsible climate-smart financial institutions serving low-income households, micro-entrepreneurs, MSMEs and smallholder farmers in emerging markets.

About Paul Buysens

Paul Buysens is co-CEO of Incofin, an impact investment company active in emerging markets in sectors ranging from financial inclusion and sustainable agri-food value chains to drinking water.

The company supports inclusive progress and sustainable transitions through private equity investments, debt financing and technical assistance. The Incofin team is based out of Belgium, Colombia, Kenya, India and Cambodia, and has invested USD 3 b over the last 20 years.

Paul Buysens joined Incofin in 2017 as COO and is since 2022 co-CEO, focusing primarily on fund development and investor relations.
Before joining Incofin, Paul worked for 10 years at General Electric (GE Capital) as a finance executive and 3 years at Deloitte as an auditor.
Paul holds a Master's in Commercial Engineering from the University of Antwerp.
