Since 2004, Veerle has been an impact investor following an international career in investor relations. She has built a diverse investment portfolio of direct and indirect investments (funds) in sectors such as microfinance, renewable energy, cleantech, aquaculture, and food distribution. This includes both developed and emerging markets in Africa and Latin America.

She began her career in investor relations in New York and then moved to Paris and London to set up the European operations of Technimetrics, a shareholder database.
When Thomson Reuters acquired the company, Veerle became a Partner at Brunswick, the leading financial communications agency, and was responsible for developing the Benelux market.

In 2004, she continued by leading her family office and worked as an advisor for impact organizations. She served on various boards, including the board of the Social-Alpha Bastion Fund. Veerle is a Fellow of the global Impact Investing Community Toniic.

Veerle holds Dutch nationality but was born and raised in Belgium and speaks fluent Dutch, French, English, German, and Spanish. She is a true connector, passionate about growing the PYM community to create more impact.
