Willemijn de Lint

Willemijn is a social worker who is passionate about generating social impact in her immediate environment. She works for Humanitas, a Dutch NGO supporting people who temporarily cannot manage on their own. She also wants to catalyse change in the wider world through sustainable and social investments. 

Willemijn and her husband started an ophthalmology company. After selling the company, they started investing in various impact investment funds and direct investments focusing on financial inclusion in Africa, Latin America and Asia. 

Willemijn will speak about her passion for these investments and her lessons learned.

Cardano

Hendrik Jan Davids - Senior Client Portfolio Manager Private Markets

Hendrik Jan Davids, Client Portfolio Manager Impact Investing for Cardano, will present the Financial Inclusion Fund. Cardano offers sustainable investment strategies and solutions to insurance companies, pension funds, banks and distribution partners. The fund has the intention to generate a measurable positive impact alongside a financial return. The objective is to increase (digital) access to responsible and affordable financial products and services for micro-, small-, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and low-income households in emerging and frontier markets with the intent to stimulate economic growth in a sustainable manner and to improve the financial wellbeing of low-income households. Hendrik Jan, a CFA charter holder, started his career at Robeco and joined Cardano in 2018.

Goodwell

Karyn Munyengeterwa - Investor Relations

Karyn Munyengeterwa,  Investor Relations at Goodwell, will present the ‘Goodwell V’, a Private Equity Fund providing equity to social and environmental enterprises in Sub-Sahara Africa. Prior to joining the Goodwell team, Karyn worked at a Shelter Afrique, supporting Treasury and Resource Mobilization to fund affordable housing in Africa.

Karyn is a Chartered Development Finance Analyst (CDFA) and holds a Master of Commerce degree in Development Finance from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. Currently, Karyn is a candidate for the CFA ESG Investing certification. 

Incofin Investment Management

Paul Buysens - co-CEO

Paul Buysens, co-CEO of Incofin, will present the newly launched global Incofin Water Fund. Incofin is an impact investment company active in emerging markets in sectors ranging from financial inclusion and sustainable agri-food value chains to drinking water. The company supports inclusive progress and sustainable transitions through private equity investments, debt financing and technical assistance. The Incofin teams, based in Belgium, Colombia, Kenya, India and Cambodia, have invested USD 3 billion over the last 20 years. Paul joined Incofin in 2017 as COO and is since 2022 co-CEO, focusing primarily on fund development and investor relations. Before joining Incofin, Paul worked for 10 years at General Electric (GE Capital) as a finance executive and 3 years at Deloitte as an auditor.

Lendahand

Peter Stolze - Chief Compliance Officer & co-founder

Peter Stolze, COO and co-founder of Lendahand will present the Lendahand solutions to fighting poverty, including the Lendahand Impact+ Proposition.

Peter is a former Manager of Corporate Strategy at T-Mobile and Manager of Microfinance at Cordaid. As the COO of Lendahand Peter is dedicated to helping Lendahand maintain operational excellence throughout his various responsibilities. 

After the presentations, you'll split off into breakout groups, where the speakers answer your questions.
