One impact investor and four financial professionals in this domain will share their strategies for identifying publicly traded securities that have a positive impact to the world.

Following the presentations, you'll have the opportunity to join breakout groups, where the speakers will answer your questions.

Maurits Schouten

After spending 23 years in investment banking in London, Maurits got involved in impact investing as part of his activities in the Ashoka Support Network. In 2017, he moved back to Amsterdam and started Blue Parasol Investments with his wife Petra to build a diversified impact portfolio. Maurits is on the board of 'Partnership of Youth Empowerment' and Ashoka Netherlands.

Esther van Munster 
Portfolio manager equities sustainable mandate

Esther van Munster graduated as an econometrician from the University of Groningen in 1996. She then started working at one of the major Dutch banks in the field of derivatives and capital-guaranteed products. 
In 2006, she switched to SRI. The first years as a sustainable analyst, from 2011 as portfolio manager of bonds and emerging market equities at Triodos MeesPierson.

Since 2018, Esther van Munster has worked for ABN AMRO as portfolio manager of equities for the sustainable mandate. Since 2019, she is also responsible for impact investing at ABN AMRO. Esther van Munster is DSI certified.

Jan Willem Nieuwenhuys
Founder

Jan Willem Nieuwenhuys has been a sustainable investor from the very beginning. Back in 1993, the first steps in the field of sustainable investing were were made: Nieuwenhuys was co-founder of Pymwymic and the Social Venture Network Europe, a network of pioneering sustainable entrepreneurs. Together with Triodos Bank, with whom Nieuwenhuys has worked for 10 years as their asset manager, he took the journey to what is now referred to as impact investing. Nieuwenhuys is primarily mission-driven, as is the company he is founder of. Fair Capital partners will always be at the forefront of sustainable investing.

In addition to his role as advisor to Fair Capital Partners, Nieuwenhuys is active on various boards, including his family foundation, and supervises a number of families on its path to impactful investing.

Alexander Mülhaupt
Deputy Head Portfolio Management Basel

After his study, Alexander was working as Stock- and Options Broker with an American Brokerage Firm. In 2001 he became portfolio manager, responsible for the sustainable mandates line and was member of the sustainability committee of the bank. He was also manager of a sustainable fund.
Alexander joined Banque J. Safra Sarasin in 2009. As Head of Investment Communication, he and his team promoted sustainable investments all over Europe (for institutional clients). 
In 2016 he joined the team portfolio management multi-asset in Basel, as deputy head, and has been responsible for sustainable mandates since then.

Dirk Drukker
Investor Relations

Dirk Drukker joined Triodos IM as an Investor Relationship Manager for the Dutch Market in 2017.  He has over 15 years of experience in the investment industry. Prior to working for Triodos IM, Dirk worked for Rabobank Private Banking as an Investment Advisor. Dirk studied Financial Services Management at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen.
