Moderators

Liz Duijves

Liz is co-founder of InvestNL's Fastlane program which prepares impact-driven Agrifood pioneers for their next round of funding. She has also invested in startups and venture capital funds operating in the food industry at InvestNl.

Our food production, distribution, and consumption methods do not only negatively impact our health but also the planet we live on.  An inclusive, sustainable, and resilient food system is possible, but it requires cooperation from a range of stakeholders, including farmers, consumers, governments, businesses, and investors.

During this afternoon you will hear from experienced impact investors who are passionate about improving our food system and fund managers who will share how they invest in regenerative agriculture and aquaculture in Europe, Africa, and worldwide.

These investors will share their experiences:

Arne Driessen

Golden Bird Impact Investment

Arne is a gardener, japanologist, investor and grower of food forest plantings. Sustainability runs like a thread through his life. Arne is primarily involved in setting up, financing and guiding businesses and sustainable projects to make people's lives greener and healthier.

Ilse Bastmeijer

Goeie Grutten Impact Fonds

In the entrepreneurial family where Ilse grew up, food was central and that remained so throughout her working life as a marketer. With the discovery of impact investing a few years ago the desire arose to deal with food in a completely different way. Her passion for food turned out to go very well with the useful use of capital. Together with Bernd Voorsluijs, Ilse founded the Goeie Grutten Impact Fund. Since then, she has been active as an impact investor.
