Monday, April 13th | Breakout: Circular Material Use: Investing in Modular Solutions

Nicolas Bearelle is the founder and Executive Chairman of Revive, a real estate developer and investor focused on urban regeneration. Through Revive, he transforms brownfield sites into vibrant, sustainable neighbourhoods, aiming to create carbon-neutral developments that generate long-term economic, environmental, and social value.

Beyond Revive, Nicolas is actively involved in the broader innovation ecosystem. He is co-founder of WATT Factory, an accelerator for smart-city entrepreneurs, an investor in the biotech startup TakeAirLabs, and holds several advisory and leadership roles, including co-chair of the European Residential Council at the Urban Land Institute and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Vlerick Entrepreneurship Academy.

His work is driven by the belief that the challenges of our time — from the housing crisis to climate change — are deeply interconnected. Addressing them requires new ways to design, build, and finance the built environment.

During the breakout session "Circular Material Use: Investing in Modular Solutions," Nicolas Bearelle joins speakers from Sagana Capital and Fair Capital Impact Fund to explore how circular construction and modular approaches can help address both the housing and climate crises. He highlights how challenges such as energy poverty, unaffordable housing, and the decarbonisation of the built environment also present significant opportunities for investors to contribute to more resilient and liveable cities.
