Wolfgang Hafenmayer is Founding Partner of Sagana and Co-Founding Partner of Circulate Capital, with more than 20 years of experience in mobilising capital for impact.
At Sagana, Wolfgang leads a global investment team that backs more than 60 companies and 20 funds across sectors such as climate tech, energy transition, sustainable fashion, health, and food systems. His work focuses on combining strong financial performance with measurable social and environmental impact.
Through Circulate Capital, Wolfgang leads investment activities in India and drives innovation in circular solutions, particularly in plastic alternatives. He also contributes to expanding the firm's presence in Latin America and to supporting the development of more circular and resilient materials systems globally.
Earlier in his career, Wolfgang played a key role in building LGT Venture Philanthropy (now Lightrock and LGT Impact) into a leading global impact investing platform. He has also advised numerous foundations and family offices on aligning capital with purpose.
In addition to his investment work, Wolfgang has co-founded several impact ventures and is the author of "Die Zukunftsmacher" (The Future Makers), a book highlighting changemakers around the world.
