Sunday, April 12th | Breakout: Deepdive in the Portfolios of Experienced Impact Investors

Edmond Hilhorst is an entrepreneur and impact investor driven by a clear belief: success should be measured not by financial wealth, but by the contribution we make to the world.

After an international career at ABN AMRO, Edmond became an entrepreneur and co-founded Independer, a platform aimed at making financial products more transparent and fair. Following the sale of his stake, he shifted his focus to supporting entrepreneurs building solutions to societal and environmental challenges.

Over the past years, Edmond has become an active impact investor, working closely with networks such as Pymwymic and TONIIC, and investing across themes including sustainable energy, healthcare, climate, and regenerative agriculture. He is currently Chair of the Board at Carbon Equity and is involved in building the Moral Ambition movement, together with Rutger Bregman and his team.

A strong advocate for making impact investing more accessible, Edmond believes that capital can play a key role in accelerating solutions to global challenges — if more people are enabled to participate.

During the breakout session "Deepdive in the Portfolios of Experienced Impact Investors," Edmond Hilhorst shares insights from his journey as an investor, reflecting on how values, family, and long-term thinking shape investment decisions and impact over time.
