Jasper Bertels
Jasper Bertels’ mission is to reconnect man and nature by realising innovative regenerative business and finance models for a more sustainable world. He aims to develop economically viable models with the combination of his corporate finance expertise and business development experience.
He is Head of Landscape Finance at Commonland, responsible for the Landscape Finance team working on mobilising public and private finance to scale up landscape restoration initiatives around the world. As initiator, catalyst and enabler of large-scale and long-term landscape restoration initiatives, Commonland is on a mission to transform degraded landscapes into thriving ecosystems and communities based on sound business cases and aligned with international policies and guidelines.
Before Commonland, Jasper worked at the venture capital arm of ING Bank, was a banking supervisor at the Dutch Central Bank and worked over 10 years as a financial advisor on mergers and acquisitions at an advisory firm and a bank.
