Winne van Woerden
Winne van Woerden focuses on post-growth economic thinking in relation to climate justice and global health and development.
In recent years, she has worked in these areas with various civil society organizations and movements as a communicator, campaigner and policy advocate, amongst which Postgroei Nederland, Commons Network and Ontgroei.
She graduated in Global Health Sciences at Maastricht University, focusing specifically on Political Economy of Health and Planetary Health, and is currently obtaining a second master’s degree in Degrowth: Policy, Economy and Ecology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.
Winne is the lead author of the book 'Living Well on a Finite Planet' (in English) published in 2021 and co-author of 'Er is Leven na de Groei' (in Dutch) published in 2022.
