Veerle Berbers
Veerle has been an impact investor since 2004 following an international career in investor relations. She has built a diverse investment portfolio of direct and indirect investments (funds) in sectors such as microfinance, renewable energy, cleantech, aquaculture and food distribution. Both in developed as well as in emerging markets in Africa and Latin America.
She started her career in investor relations in New York, then moved to Paris and London to set up the European operations of Technimetrics, a shareholder database.
When Thomson Reuters acquired the company, Veerle became a Partner at Brunswick, the leading financial communications agency, and responsible for developing the Benelux market.
In 2004 she moved on to lead her family office and to work as an advisor for impact organizations. She served on several boards, including the board of the Social-Alpha Bastion Fund. Veerle is a Fellow of the global Impact Investing Community Toniic.
A Dutch national, but born and raised in Belgium, Veerle is fluent in Dutch, French, English, German, and conversational in Spanish. She is a true connector, who is passionate to grow the PYM community to make more impact.
